Undead Unluck Anime Release Date And Trailer Revealed

The third trailer for Undead Unluck was finally released. The anime was already slated to debut in October a few months ago. But, with the new PV coming, all pieces of information finally come into shape.

Fans only need to wait for a month to watch Andy and Fuuko’s bickering. So, what is the new information? Read on!

Undead Unluck Release Date

The release date of Undead Unluck was revealed back during the Anime Japan 2023 event. The release of the key visual stated that the series will premiere in October 2023.

Now that it is one month away, the official released follow-up news about the exact release date of the series. Based on this year’s 38th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, Undead Unluck will premiere on October 6 at Hulu.

Before that, there is a pre-screening event which will be held on October 1, 2023, premiering the first and second episodes for limited seats. The event will be set at Shinjuku Piccadilly Cinema. Reportedly, seven cast members will give a talk after the screening.

Undead Unluck Trailer

The new PV was released on August 20, 2023. It tells a brief background story about the series, which introduces the existence of the Union. Now that this PV dropped off, almost all of the Union members’ cast is officially revealed. Only two characters – Phil and Isshin – still have confidential VAs.

Cast and Staff

An additional cast member of the series was introduced in this year’s 38th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. With the past four casts that have been revealed, we already have a total of 11 members. They include:

Most of the staff worked on Fire Force anime before. So, we can expect the same quality for Undead Unlcuk. Yuki Yase is directing the series at David Production (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure). Morioka Hideyuki is designing the character while Suehiro Kenichiro is composing the music.

Story

As Fuuko Izumo finishes reading her manga, she is finally ready to end her life. For the past 10 years, she has suffered a condition where anyone who touches her gets unlucky accident with possible death.

As she stands atop the bridge and prepares to jump onto the train tracks, a man suddenly approaches him. Unfortunately, he touches her and falls from the bridge, and ends up getting hit by a moving train.

But, when Fuuko gets down to look at the scene, no corpse is found even though there is a dent in the train. Turns out, that man’s body is regenerating and comes back to life.

The man, later called Andy, is an immortal. Currently, he looks for a way to die and by chance stumbles upon Fuuko, who has the same condition. From Andy, she learns his identity which is called negator – the one who breaks the rule of the world.
