The fan-favorite and adored anime series is returning, Tonikawa season 2 will air in April 2023, and their official Twitter account @tonikawa_anime commemorated the announcement with the revelation of their stage event.
The stageplay is happening before the TV broadcast on March 25th (Saturday) in the Anime Japan 2023 event, we can expect to see the cast members and some staff members as well.
The second season’s animation production is studio Seven Arcs, and the previous voice actors will return for their roles. The franchise released a key visual and trailer on November 21st, 2023.

The key visual featured the two main characters, Nasa Yuzaki, and Ysukasa Yuzaki eating a few slices of watermelon with a new pet cat. Clearly the character designer has done a commendable job.
It is confirmed that the upcoming season will have the previous voice cast members returning for their roles including Akari Kitou as the voice of Tsukasa Yuzaki, Junya Enoki as Nasa Yuzaki, Yuu Serizawa as Kaname Arisugawa, Sumire Uesaka as Aya Arisugawa, and Konomi Kohara as Chitose Kaginoji.
As of right now, there isn’t an official list of staff members. We expect the old staff to return for this show’s production. However, that information isn’t yet revealed.
Tonikawa Season 2 Anime Trailer Review
Judging from the trailer, the works of the art director are quite visible. There isn’t much to add in terms of the overall story. The entire series is just a wholesome romance story with many wholesome plots.
The trailer was filled with lots of romantic and cute moments between the two characters. The voice acting was top-notch and the animation seemed excellent. Hopefully, we’ll get to enjoy the same level of wholesomeness if not more.
What happened so far in Tonikawa?
The series has to be the dream of every teenage boy. It perfectly highlights the love at first sight element.
Nasa is a grade-A student, and at the top of his class. He has his whole life planned down to every little detail. However, things take a sudden turn when he sees a beautiful girl across the road and while crossing over to meet her. He oversees a speeding truck.
However, luckily for him, the beautiful and mysterious girl rushes over to him, saving him from sudden death. Then continue to walk away under the moonlight. And Nasa chases after her after finally catching up to her, he decides to ask her out on a date. But instead, the girl replies, “only if you marry me”.
Tonikawa Season 2 Additional Characters
Tsukasa Yuzaki is the main female lead of the series, her maiden name is Tsukasa Tsukuyomi. She first met Nasa, when she saved him from a speeding truck and later asked him to marry her.
Nasa Yuzaki is the protagonist of the series. He was a hard-working student in his class with goals that only he could achieve. However, he decides to let everything go in search of love.
Kaname Arisugawa is Nasa’s junior at his high school. She works as a signboard girl at a bathhouse and is frequently visited by Nasa.
Aya Arisugawa is Kaname’s older sister. She’s usually a quiet person but also a competitive gamer, and she also has a crush on Nasa.
