Even though the first two episodes have been limitedly released, it doesn’t mean it is leaked. For those who haven’t watched it, below we break down the trailer of the third season along with the released information. Read on!
The Rising of the Shield Hero Trailer
The new trailer for the third season of the Rising of the Shield Hero was released on August 27, 2023. It highlights Naofumi’s new journey after the battle in another world.
It appears that his adventure takes into more bizarre turn. The first abnormal thing is the non-existent countdown which normally appears in the sandtime. This way, the next wave is pretty much unpredictable.
Moreover, the revelation from the Queen that the three heroes went missing after Naofumi and his companions jumped to another world. Maybe this abnormality is related to each other? Who knows.
Not only that, the PV also highlights the effort Naofumi put into reclaiming the Ruruona Village’s residents from slavery. In order to do that, he has to compete in the underground Colosseum anonymously.
The key visual for the third season was revealed on July 4, 2023. It shows the characters who will appear in the next season. While we already know some of them, there are new faces in the next season.
Do notice that there is a shadow of a black dragon behind the text of “Begin the True Rising”. With the same pace as the previous season, this season of the Rising of the Shield Hero will likely adapt three volumes of light novels starting from the tenth to the twelfth. It also means that this season will cover three arcs; Rebuilding Arc, Wrath of Black Dragon Arc, and Fallen Heroes Arc.
Cast and Staff
While the cast remains the same, there is a slight change to the staff for the third season. Additionally, the official introduced new characters who will appear in the next season. They are:

It is no surprise but MADKID will perform the opening of the series. They will return with their new song entitled “SIN”. Meanwhile, Chiai Fujikawa also returns to perform the ending theme entitled ”Suki ni Natte wa Ikenai Riyuu”.

Who knows he may find Raphtalia’s old acquaintance or, even better, a new powerhouse for kicking the next waves of disaster!
