The story of Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement follows Yamano Mitsuha, an eighteen-year-old girl who graduated from high school. Through bad luck, her entire family died by accident half a year ago. The relatives she has, offer their help to take care of Mitsuha. But Mitsuha knows that they are only after the life insurance of her deceased family. In the end, she ends up taking care of herself.
When she ponders her future plans while looking at the sea, a group of men approaches and flirts with her. Annoyed, she kicks one of them. Another guy gets angry and accidentally pushes her from the cliff. Afraid of dying, she closes her eyes and wishes that she will survive. Somehow, she lands on the soft grass in the middle of a forest.
What happens with Mitsuha? This anime entails the story of a money-loving girl who wants early retirement using her ability to move from one world to another.
Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement News
The TV anime Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement (Rougo ni Sonaete Isekai de 8-manmai no Kinka wo Tamemasu in Japan or Roukin 8 for short) is an anime based on the light novel of the same name.
FUNA wrote this light novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro in the beginning. But, in 2017, the series released a print version with an illustration by Tozai. As of August 2022, 7 volumes have already been in circulation.
Aside from the light novel, the manga version was released by Keisuke Motoe. The unique part is, that they launched the manga version of the series 2 weeks before the first volume of the light novel debuted. It means the draft “web novel” FUNA wrote didn’t get many red lines from the publisher. The manga has reached 10 volumes in print as of August 2022.
With the light novel and manga having fairly amazing acceptance, the anime might end up successful. But, with the flood of isekai anime, will this series make any difference? Will it get the second season, or just stop in the first season? Just stay tuned for future anime news in Animefleek!
