Bandai Namco Entertainment America unveiled a new video on Tuesday for the upcoming RPG action game based on Akira Toriyama’s Sand Land manga. The video offers a sneak peek into the Sand Land game’s custom battle armor system. Excitingly, a playable demo is already accessible for eager players.
Scheduled for release on April 26 (April 25 in Japan), the game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Fans can anticipate diving into the rich world of “Sand Land” and experiencing its gripping gameplay firsthand.
Originally serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from May to August 2000, “Sand Land” received one compiled book volume in November 2000. Despite its brevity, the manga’s unique storyline and captivating characters left a lasting impression on fans.
The manga’s success led to an anime film adaptation, debuting in Japan in August 2023. It premiered globally at Comic-Con International San Diego in July 2023 and is set to arrive in North America later this year. Moreover, the manga recently expanded its reach with an anime series airing on Disney+ and Hulu since March 20.
Playing as Beelzebub, players will be able to explore a vast world accompanied by his unlikely group of demons and humans. Whether roaming in various vehicles, or traveling by foot, players will encounter dangers as well as helpful characters they meet in the vast desert while uncovering SAND LAND‘s many secrets. Vehicular and character combat is a big part of the action in the game. Players will have access to a variety of vehicles that they can customize and equip with loadouts to traverse the desert, overcome obstacles, and take on a diverse assortment of mighty foes.
