We all know how anime fans were scattered from one online platform to another. Well, Two college friends Abhishek Mehta and Dhawal Agrawal came up with a new anime community called Quriverse. Quriverse is a place where fans can openly connect, converse, and build a community with a shared passion for anime and Japanese culture.
This is not even the best part, there’s so much more you can do on Quriverse. Mingle with other fans and live-stream, the best part, there are anime and manga watch lists. Talk about an all-in-one site.
In 2020, Quriverse was launched with the goal of building an online platform that will allow fans to communicate and engage with one another. They can also generate and sell their content using it as a platform.
The two realized that social networking sites were not made for the anime community, so they developed a site that allows creators the means to produce content, foster community, and make money from it all in one location. The portal also assists makers and artists in producing and marketing services, commissioned work, and digital artwork.
New Anime Community – Quriverse
Mehta and Agarwal were just getting into fandom in their college days. They saw how dispersed each fan network was across several media. In order to get multiple elements of the community, people had to hop from platform to platform. That’s when it hit them. Making a platform that will streamline all the processes into one digital platform.
Recognizing that social media platforms were not developed for the anime community. The duo established a location where artists can access the resources they need to produce content, foster community, and make money from their endeavours all in one location. The portal also aids in the production and sale of digital art, commissioned pieces, and services by creators and artists.
Features of Quriverse
Four essential features are now available on the Bengaluru-based platform:
- an anime-specific network
- community chats
- interactive features
- creator store
This is the first network, that is made for online users who want to produce and distribute animation, live streaming, and artwork. Okay, so here’s the best part. Users can establish anime watch lists or manga reading lists and communicate with one another through interactive elements and community discussions. How cool is that?
You can really tell how the creators have put a lot of thought into this.
What about other communities?
It’s obvious that the anime fandom is not the only community. We have so many other fandoms, who would appreciate this. We have the K-wave, Marvel, DC, Harry Potter- I mean all sorts of communities. Can’t forget the Booktok readers.
The network wants to grow to be a platform for fan experiences of all kinds, despite its current focus on the anime community. The ultimate aim of Quriverse, according to Mehta, is to “We want to expand but the idea is first to nail down the anime community. Our goal is to build a global platform for the fandom communities out there and help them monetize on it.”
