Trailer and Key Visual
The trailer was released on June 17, 2023. It highlights the background story of the series and the introduction of two main characters, Belgrieve and Angeline. While Belgrieve strikes as a calm and collected father, Angeline is shown as an emotional teenager who really wants to meet his father.
Even though the PV has yet to fully show the visual of battle, it is expected that the visual will meet the high bar. Knowing that the dragon doesn’t seem to use CGI. Moreover, the studio has a record of creating a visually appealing romance anime, Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke’s Mansion.
The new key visual was released on August 11, 2023. Unlike the previous key visual that only shows two main characters, the new one shows nine characters who will appear in the series.
One thing of a note, the key visual shows figures of two elves in the back. It means that the anime will at least cover three volumes of the light novel.

As of date, the official already introduced several VAs for the series. The latest character, Byaku and Charlotte, was revealed on August 25, 2023. Though the revealed VAs are already plenty, the official still hides most of the staff aside from the key position.

The series will have its opening performed by Yoshino Nanjo entitled “Sen”. Meanwhile, yanaginagi will perform the ending theme of the series entitled “homeward journey”.
Story
Belgrieve lost his chance to be an adventurer after losing his leg. Having no choice, he decided to retire and go home. In his hometown, he becomes a handyman who does simple chores such as collecting herbs, exterminating beasts, and helping farmworkers.
Yet, his uneventful daily life changes when his age approaches thirty. One day, he finds an abandoned baby inside the forest while collecting herbs. Knowing he can’t leave the child as is, he chooses to raise her.
Maybe because she gets immersed in his father’s past glory as an adventurer, she also wants to be one. Because of that, she has a sword training since childhood. But, her talent is too much if left alone, that’s why, Belgrieve sends her to the adventure guild in the capital.
After another five years have passed, Belgrieve still works as a handyman in town, meanwhile, his daughter becomes the top S-rank adventurer.
