You already know about the famous pair of theatrical anime films Kuramerukagari and Kurayukaba. Shigeyoshi Tsukahara wrote and directed both films. He revealed a new trailer before the film’s release in Japan. These films were scheduled for 12 April 2024. According to sources, these films will be live on Crunchyroll, taking part in the Spring 2024 Anime Simulcast Lineup.

Kuramerukagari Plot
This theatrical anime movie spans over a strange coal mining town where the excavators are known as Hakoniwa. The fate of an ordinary girl, Kagari, who runs a mapmaking business, entangles with a regular boy named Yuya. The story develops as the duo decides to break the chain, binding them to their destined fates, and a conspiracy unfolds.
Kurayakaba Plot
The plot unveils the undying efforts of a detective named Soutarou. Working on the mass disappearances that have kept the town held in fear, he finds a lead to a mysterious town called Kuragari. As he investigates further, he finds himself severely shaken by the incidents and the truths unfolding before him.
