Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced through Twitter on Tuesday that Dragon Ball Super renditions of Android 18 and Videl are set to join the roster of characters in the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 game as part of the upcoming “Future Saga” DLC.
This DLC is planned to be released in four parts, with the initial chapter labeled as “coming soon.”
Players can expect the game to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on May 24, while it will debut on PlayStation 5 in Japan a day earlier, on May 23.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 initially hit the shelves for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in North America and Europe in October 2016, with a subsequent release for PlayStation 4 in Japan in November of the same year. The game expanded its reach to Nintendo Switch consoles in Japan and the West in September 2017 and later became available on Google’s now-defunct Stadia platform in December 2019.
Its predecessor, Dragon Ball Xenoverse, was launched across various platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 consoles in Japan, Europe, and North America in February 2015. It also marked its presence on PC via Steam during the same period.
Developed by Dimps and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a fighting role-playing video game set in the expansive Dragon Ball universe. Serving as a sequel to Dragon Ball Xenoverse, the game initially debuted for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows in October 2016, with later releases on Nintendo Switch in September 2017 and Google Stadia in December 2020.
