Dragon Ball Sparking Zero – Every Playable Characters Confirmed

Recently, the officials announced a new fighting game series known as Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, which is all set to release sometime in 2024. Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is the fourth installment of the Budokai Tenkaichi series.

The past three installments of the Budokai Tenkaichi game series have already received great responses from fans for their intense gameplay, creative mechanics, and captivating visuals. List of All Confirmed Playable Characters in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero:

The officials have currently confirmed a total of 16 playable characters in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. Out of its 16 core characters, you have already met 14 characters in the last three installments of the Budokai Tenkaichi series. On the other hand, two new characters are all set to make their debut in this upcoming adventure game. 

1. Satan (Hercule): Weakest Character in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

Satan is the father-in-law of Goku and the grandfather of Gohan in the Dragon Ball franchise. Even though he is just an ordinary man, the officials still include him in all past installments of Budokai Tenkaichi. In order to keep up against powerful characters in the game, he is always equipped with weapons and special abilities.

Now, it’s very interesting what type of weapons or abilities officials provide him to battle in this new game. No matter what he gets, fans still dare to choose him as a playable character; after all, he is very weak. 

2. Tien Shin Ha

Tien Shin Ha is the first Dragon Ball Z fighter who unlocked the ability to fly and then taught it to others, including Goku. Despite being an ordinary human, he gave a tough fight in the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super.

As a result, the officials include him in almost every game series of the franchise. Now, Tien is all set to show what he has learned and developed in the past three installments of the Budokai series. 

3. Yamcha

Yamcha is the first guy friend of Goku and also one of the most classic characters in the DB anime. Fans usually use his name to mock other anime’s fandom by stating that Yamcha is enough for their strongest characters.

Even though they didn’t choose him to participate in the Tournament of Power, he never missed a single game where he wasn’t a playable character. As a result, he is again ready to appear in the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero game. 

4. Krillin

The power level of Android 17 is comparable to Goku’s super Saiyan Blue, which Goku already measured before entering the Tournament of Power. No matter what game you play—PC game or anime mobile game—Android 17 is without a doubt one of the strongest playable characters in them. 

7. Piccolo

Piccolo just played the lead role in a recent release of the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie. He also finally gets his first proper form, Orange Piccolo, which is exceptionally strong and possesses powerful abilities.

Since the debut of Majin Buu and the re-entry of Frieza into the franchise, Cell has lost his charm and fan following among fans. 10. Frieza: Most Popular Villain Character in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

There are plenty of powerful main villains, like Cell, Majin Buu, and Shenron. But Frieza remains the permanent villain in the entire series. Similar to Goku and Vegeta, Frieza also unlocked new powerful transformations through training to challenge them.

We have already witnessed his several powerful forms, from base form to final form and 100% full power to mecha Frieza. However, we have not yet seen his recently released powerful transformations, like Golden Frieza and Black Frieza.

So, it is very likely that the officials will at least include his Golden Frieza form in the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero game. 

11. Future Trunks

Future Trunks is the MC in an alternate timeline where Goku and other Dragon Ball Z fighters do not exist. He is the only character who has defeated all powerful villains, such as Frieza, Cell, and Androids, without anyone’s help.

Due to his stylish fighting style and cool personality, fans enjoyed choosing him as their playable character. They already used several powerful forms of Future Trunks, such as super saiyan and super saiyan third grade. Now they were eager to use his most powerful form, Super Trunks (Rage form), which he used against Black Goku. 

12. Broly

Broly is not just the most overpowered character in the Dragon Ball anime and manga series. He is also quite overpowered in every video game series in the franchise. He also belongs to the same saiyan species to which Goku and Vegeta belong.

Moreover, he is capable of unlocking the same number of forms as they did. However, he currently just unlocked two forms, Super Saiyan and Legendary Super Saiyan, which were strong enough to defeat Goku’s Super Saiyan.

But the current situation is completely different; the franchise changes Broly’s appearance and makes him more powerful than the old one. So, fans are very excited to see the power level of the new Broly and eager to use his powers and abilities. 

13. Vegeta

The past three installments of the Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi game series were released before Dragon Ball Super. As a result, we are only able to see those transformations of Vegeta that he used until the end of the Dragon Ball Z series.

Thankfully, the officials decided to release a new installment of the game series, which might include all of his newest unlocked transformations. So get ready to feel the power of Goku’s Ultra Instinct and its automatic dodging system in the upcoming game of the franchise.

15. Bergamo: New Playable Character in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

The announcement trailer revealed several characters from the series, including the returning playable character and some new one as well. Bergamo is one of the new playable characters in Budokai Tenkaichi who is ready to make his debut in its upcoming installment.

He is one of the strongest fighters who represent Universe 9 in the tournament of power, along with his two siblings. However, since the game introduced some new characters, it definitely became more interesting than before.

This is because we got a chance to control new characters and explore their new fighting styles and abilities. On the other hand, if Bergamo is available in the upcoming game, it is very likely his two siblings will also join the game. 

16. Jiren: New Playable Character in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

Bergamo is not the only confirmed new playable character in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, but Jiren is also confirmed. “Jiren,” the name itself, shows his worthiness, and the fans will definitely be excited to use him in the game.

Since witnessing his overwhelming power in the tournament of power, it’s quite obvious he will rule this game. Jiren is definitely one of the primary choices for every one of us who enjoys the toughest and deadliest battles.

Since Bergamo and Jiren are debuting, there is a very high chance that all the other strong and popular characters from Tournament of Power are also debuting in the upcoming game.
