Oricon, a renowned Japanese research company specializing in music news and rankings, recently unveiled the “Oricon Reiwa Ranking,” a comprehensive overview of music sales trends spanning the Reiwa era in Japan (2019-2023) as well as Western music. Topping the digital single ranking was LiSA’s 15th single, “Gurenge,” the iconic opening theme of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba TV anime, which amassed an impressive 1,469,264 downloads. LiSA’s 17th single, “Homura,” also made waves as the theme song for the 2020 anime film Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train, securing the fourth spot with 1,086,056 downloads.

Reflecting on the past five years, LiSA shared her thoughts in a message video posted on Oricon’s official YouTube channel. “Since the advent of the Reiwa era and the release of ‘Gurenge,’ a myriad of events has unfolded globally. Through both its highs and lows, ‘Gurenge’ has been a constant companion,” she expressed. “This song, serving as the inaugural opening theme for the TV anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, holds a special place in my heart.
