The seventh episode of Demon Slayer was broadcasted on last Sunday (5/22). Not long after that, the official Twitter released a new visual about the new enemy in the seventh episode.
The visual shows the Demon Corps fighting against two upper-moon demons. We already know Gyokko, who is a white demon below, from the first episode. But who is above him? To know who he is, let’s recap the story so far.
Two demons are ordered to attack the Swordsmith Village which is the main sword maker for Demon Corps. Long story short, Hantengu, the fourth seat, is discovered by Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Tokito (the Mist Pillar).
But, they find it difficult to behead him because he can split his body into four; Sekido (Anger), Karaku (pleasure), Aizatsu (sorrow), and Urogi (joy). After Genya join the fight, they finally figure out how to defeat Hantengu.
But that moment makes Hantengu reveals his trump card. His four clones fuse into one body creating a being called Zohakuten, the embodiment of hatred. This demon is the one who shows up in the new visual.
The new round will begin in the next week’s episode. Zohakuten against Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Genya. Meanwhile, Takuto, who has released himself from Gyokko’s blood art, is ready to confront him again.
Let’s not forget about Kanroji who is also in the Swordsmith Village at the moment. Maybe we can finally see her action in the next episode? let’s wait for it.
