Souta is our handsome and charming male lead with the ability to close the doors that lead to the afterlife.
Even though a mortal can’t pass through the door, worms-like creatures can pass through it to this world. They bring chaos and destruction to the world, and surprisingly enough, only people like Souta can see and find them. So he is always in search of such doors, and one day, while searching for one such door, he asks Suzume who was passing by. The gorgeous girl refers him to a nearby abandoned place, and he ends up regretting it later. When she found Souta, she found the door, and surprisingly enough, she could see the afterlife inside the door.
While trying to go through the door, she ends up displacing its keystone responsible for keeping it close. This gives the wormlike creatures an opportunity to wreak havoc. Now, she decides to work with Souta to correct her mistakes. The movie is full of plot twists which makes it one of the best anime movies with plot twists.
