Ancient Magus Bride Season 2 is a sequel fans have been waiting for quite a while, the series is simply beautiful with its perfect execution of a magical world. So, the announcement for the second season made everyone extremely happy.
The series was announced to be released on April 6 on the series’s official Twitter account, along with the first trailer and key visual.

The key visual featured quite a few new characters all dressed in the college uniform. The characters include Lucy Webster, Rian Scrimgeour, Veronica Rickenbacker, Isaac Fowler, and Zoe Ivy.
The list of cast members for the new and upcoming characters was also out. Mr. Atsumi Tanezaki is voicing Chise Hatori, and Ryouta is voicing Takeuchi as Elias Ainsworth. How can we forget Lucy Webster and Isaac Flower? Minami Tsuda and Koutarou Nishiyama are voicing them respectively. Lastly, Daiki Kobayashi is voicing Ivy Zoe, Reina Ueda is voicing Veronica Rickenbacker, and Rian Scrimgeour.
The list of staff members is also out. It includes Kazuaki Terasawa as the series director, and Shouji Hata as sound director. Above all, Hirotaka Katou is in charge of character design, and Kouhei Tokuoka as the chief animation director.

As much as the fans are excited to finally hear the news of a sequel. The first trailer seemed simply incredible, it was a big relief to see the anime series does maintain its tone.
Hatori Chise gest an invitation to learn from a magical institute to learn more about magic and her natural abilities. So we might just see her act like an average person along with her peers.
The trailer did also introduce quite a lot of new characters. They will also attend the magical institute. A mysterious person will join them. the person carries some sort of ill intentions toward Elias. It might put Chise in a difficult situation.
The Plot of Ancient Magus’ Bride
The story feels like it’s straight out of a fairytale with a touch of romantic slice of life. It’s almost the most wholesome anime you might ever see which is also full of terrifying incidents.
The story revolves around the main character, Chise Hatori. Her divorced parents sell hell in an auction because she has the ability to see spirits which results in her odd behavior.
During an auction, An unknown magician purchases her and that’s how her regular life changes. He is quite fond of her strange powers to converse with spirits. She call her a Sleigh Beggy. And her reasons for purchasing her aren’t in any way immoral or dangerous.
He wishes to teach her how to control her ability to become a great magician. Chise continues to follow this path and learns a lot more about the world and hauntingly beautiful it is.
Ancient Magus Bride Season 2 Additional Characters
As the new season is coming out, we’re about to see some new characters as well who are the same age as Chise.
Lucy Webster is Chise’s roommate at the college. She’s somewhat of an oddball and keeps her distance from other students in her class. She’s there to uncover the truth about a tragic incident.
Philomela Sargent is from the Sargent family and serves the Rickenbacker family as their master. She’s a quiet person who always keeps to herself and who suffers from severe anxiety.
Rian Scrimgeour is the elder son of the Scrimgeour family. He has a serious personality and an unusual obsession with lizards.
Ivy Zoe is a new student much like Chise. He wears headphones and has distinctive green hair, he also avoids Chise for some unknown reason.
Veronica Rickenbacker is the daughter of a medical family, she’s an overall decent person with a good personality.

The Ancient Magus’ Bride is a Japanese manga series. Yamazaki Kore has done a phenomenal job at writing and illustrating the series. The series was serialized in Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Garden magazine. Later Seven Seas Entertainment licensed it in North America.
