Prepare to check your blood sugar because we will get a sugar overdose soon. Sun Sun Sun’s Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian will premiere in April 2024. This series has become the most awaited spring anime series in the non-sequel romantic comedy genre.
The official website just released an additional cast and staff for the anime adaptation. So who are they? Let’s check it out!
Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings Cast
The official website released a list of additional cast members on January 31, 2024. Along with it, they also unveiled two character visuals.
Wakana Maruoka as Yuki Suou
Saya Aizawa as Ayano Kimishima
Aside from those above, Kohei Amasaki and Sumire Uesaka are starring as Masachika Kuze and Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou respectively. Moreover, Yukiyo Fujii will voice Alya’s big sister, Maria Mikhailovna Kujou. The six additional casts are as follows:
- Maki Kawase as Chisaki Sarashina
- Kaito Ishikawa as Touya Kenzaki
- Ikumi Hasegawa as Sayaka Teriyama
- Yoshino Aoyama as Nonoa Miyamae
- Koudai Sakai as Takeshi Maruyama
- Taichi Ichikawa as Hikaru Kiyomiya
With the line-up, it is confirmed that the anime will adapt at least three volumes of the light novels. Looking at the source, the anime will have a great ending if they stop in the third volume or the fourth volume excluding the epilogue.
Because, spoiler alert, the epilogue of the fourth volume will leave a bad taste in the mouth. The anime will end with a massive cliffhanger. Furthermore, If Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian anime won’t get a second season soon, it is plausible that the series will end up having a bad rating.
A few months ago, the official website already released a main staff for the anime series albeit only three. Ryouta Ito (Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie) will direct the series at Doga Kobo studio (Oshi no Ko) and also be responsible for the series composition.
Yuhei Murota (Love Live! School Idol Project) will work on the character design and serve as chief animation director at the same time. Meanwhile, Ryou Kobayashi (MV Idol for YOASOBI) is acting as producer. Currently, there are six additional staff that have been revealed. They include:
- Art Director: Risa Wakabayashi (Kaguya-sama: Love is War)
- Color Setting: Yuka Itou (Asteroid in Love)
- Director of Photography: Seiichi Sugiura (Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence)
- Editing: Kashiro Kimura (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End)
- Sound Director Takeshi Takadera (Yuru Camp)
- Music: Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Dr. Stone)
Conclusion
With that cast and staff line-up, it can be said that Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian anime is already in good hands. Each of them has experience in creating a masterpiece in the anime industry.
Only one concern so far, while Doga Kobo Studio never made a failed anime, they rarely continue their anime series to the second season. Only the the groundbreaking ones such as Oshi no Ko, Umaru-chan, and New Game got the continuation.
