An announcement of an original video animation (OVA) version of the game came out in October 2020. The anime, Alice Gear Aegis: Doki! Darake no Mermaid Grand Prix was directed by Hirokazu Hanai and also produced by Nomad. Additionally, it had Rikiya Okano designing the characters, Masahiro Okubo writing the scripts, and Zuntata composing the music. It was available on September 15, 2021.

Alice Gear Aegis‘ Plot
In an alternate timeline, advanced outer space creatures known as “Weiss” attack humanity. Overwhelmed and lacking other alternatives for survival, humanity decided to make an escape. They created a spacecraft out of the moon’s crust and began their life of roaming around the stars.
The fear of Weiss remained with them as they roamed the emptiness. They kept an eye out for something they could fashion into a weapon against their invaders. That is how they came across higher-dimensional energy that could be used to fight off the Weiss. There was only one catch: women could only use the energy.
They also made an anti-Weiss weapon, called the Alice Gear.
There were anti-Weiss organizations like AEGIS set up to handle Alice Gear and exterminate Weiss. These organizations sought women adept with a talent for Alice Gear control, called Actresses.
In time, more private companies sprouted but had to have a license from the main one, AEGIS.
This is the story of girls wearing “Alice Gear” who save humanity as they roam the universe!
The anime series will feature a wide range of enemies, from alien invaders to mechanical lifeforms, and also promises intense, fast-paced battles.
Alice Gear Aegis Game
There was an announcement on July 25, 2017, that Pyramid and Colopl would collaborate on the development of the game. Character designs were by Fumikane Shimada, mech designs by Kanetake Ebikawa and Takayuki Yanase, and also music by Zuntata. It was first released in January 2018.
